Kenton Lakes Sportsplex will open the 2008 season with a new partner, Kentucky
Amateur
Baseball Association (KABA). Which brings young baseball players and
future softball players to Northern Kentucky's best family sports complex. The
schedule will again offer NSA Tournaments in Men's, Coed, Fastpitch, plus BPA
baseball. This year we will again play host to a post season NSA Super Regional
Tournament in August. In the fall we will expand the haunted house to include
the upstairs which will definitely increase the intensity of the “Mayhem
Mansion”
Park Features
Over the past three years we have continued to clean and improve the
park and its lake area. The area outside the Ball Park has been cleaned and we
encourage tournament teams to utilize the plentiful shade and picnic areas along
the
lakes during their visit to the complex.
- A nature trail has been cleared and graveled and will give patrons a peaceful walk through the woods.
- Heated and air conditioned concession stand
- Covered pavilion for outside dining
- Plenty of TVs to catch your favorite game or sporting event while waiting to play.
- You may fish our stocked PAY lakes at a discounted price while at the park.
Leagues
The leagues for 2008 are competitively priced and offer one of the best softball
values in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area. The new Friday night leagues
will prove to be an excellent value with a price per game of $20 or less and the
other league nights are priced at $25 or less per game, also. Baseball will
dominate the schedule with over six major tournaments, three evenings and a fall
schedule that will host KABA teams from all over Northern Ky.
Fishing
The lakes have been stocked over the past three summers and are now continually
stocked on a
regular basis. Casey Lake is stocked with Catfish and Large Mouth
Bass. The Railroad Lake is stocked with Catfish and the Big lake has good
history with Crappie in the early spring. Pay lakes will reopen in march for
daily fishing with Night Fishing beginning in May
We are still going through a
management transition, please be patient as we work to get our 2008 season up to
speed.
